Two women died in a crash east of Quincy early Sunday.
The Washington State Patrol says just before 5:30 a.m., a 17-year-old Ephrata boy was driving a Dodge pick-up westbound on SR 28 when he drifted off the road to the right, then overcorrected into the eastbound lane, where he hit a Ford Aerostar van head-on.
The driver of the van, Judy Richardson, 64, died at the scene, the State Patrol said. Her passenger, Anna Hagerman, 79, was transported to Quincy Valley Hospital, where she died.
The teen was treated at a local hospital and released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. It’s not yet known if any charges will be filed.
