VANCOUVER, B.C. - It was a fun and quirky video made by Josh Rimer and Craig Weckerle. The two Canadians found a Sony HD camcorder lying on the sidewalk in Vancouver's Yaletown neighborhood the night of the Olympics Opening Ceremony.

So, they posted a video to YouTube, which includes footage from the camera, in hopes of finding its rightful owner.

Little did they know, the owner lived right across the border in Bainbridge Island.

Bill Manuel was watching KING 5 News Monday night, which aired a story about the YouTube video. He immediately recognized his camera and himself in the video footage that was saved on the camera. He had lost the camera while rushing to the Opening Ceremony. After searching the Lost and Found department in Vancouver, he thought he'd never see it again.

On Tuesday, via Skype, Manuel met Rimer and Weckerle. As a way of thanking them for doing the right thing he offered to let them keep the camera if he could keep the video.

"People say good karma will come back to you and it really did and it worked great for everyone," said Rimer.

For Manuel, it wasn't the camera that meant the most. It was the video in the camera.

"The video that doesn't look at all significant was actually pretty significant to me and my family because it's the last video of my father who was in there, who had passed away at the beginning of February," said Manuel.
