A man was arrested Wednesday night for a possible DUI hit-and-run on Interstate 5.
The Washington State Patrol said a 38-year-old man from Mountlake Terrace was driving on a suspended license when he hit a Toyota and possibly a Ford Ranger in the Northgate area and continued driving southbound. Then, troopers say he hit a Honda Accord near Denny Way, and the Honda caught fire.
The driver of the Honda was not hurt; the suspect had minor injuries. The driver believed to be responsible for the accidents was arrested for investigation of DUI and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Three lanes of I-5 were shut down for the investigation, causing a major traffic mess. The road re-opened at about 9:15 p.m.
Last week a man died in a crash on Interstate 405. The driver of the other car was arrested for DUI.
