The construction around Puget Sound this weekend is bad news for drivers, but some people have found the silver lining.
Traffic on 148th Street in Bellevue has been slow all day, and the Interlake High School drill team just happened to schedule their car wash for today.
While suds are flowing for these girls, traffic is not.
Backups on side roads on helping others, too. Caleb Cook would rather be in a car than on the side of the road, but he'll take the traffic.
His advice for panhandling works well for drivers sitting bumper-to-bumper.
"Just smile, wave, hope for the best, expect the worst," Cook said.
Even if drivers didn't need a car wash, the drill teams' pom poms still cheered the people fighting traffic.
