Shooting causes scare at PLU

A shooting caused a brief scare for students at Pacific Lutheran University on Sunday afternoon.
   
The campus sent safety alerts to student's cell phones shortly after 2 p.m.
   
They were advised to "stay indoors" and "seek safety" due to nearby police activity.
   
The Pierce County Sheriff's Dept. said a man with gunshot wounds walked into a gas station on Pacific Avenue South at 119th Street.
   
There's no suspect information at this time.
