SEATTLE -- For some Seattle drivers, it was their lucky day.
The Shell gas station on Denny Way gave away free gas Wednesday 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m. Drivers were able to fuel up with as much as 15 gallons of Shell's regular-grade nitrogen enriched gas.
Shell's "Protect and Save" giveway was to promote Shell's nitrogen enriched gasolines.
Through a partnership with Fred Meyer and QFC, drivers can also earn "fuel points" with the stores' reward cards that can be redeemed at area Shell stations.
