Three men broke into a Seattle medical marijuana dispensary and robbed the 70-year-old night watchman at gunpoint Saturday morning.
Seattle Police say it happened around 4:26 a.m. in the 8800 block of Lake City Way NE.
SPD says two of the three robbers were armed with handguns. They forced their way into the building and held the watchman at gunpoint while filling his car with about 40 marijuana plants and a laptop computer. The suspects then took off in the vehicle, a red 1993 Toyota Camry station wagon.
The car was later found parked in the area.
The victim was not injured, but police say he walked a block away and waited 30 minutes before calling 911.
Police say the suspects indicated by their actions that they were familiar with the facility but were unknown to the victim.
The suspect descriptions:
- Suspect No. 1: black male, 40′s, 6’4″ tall, 270 pounds, heavy build, wearing dark clothing and armed with a handgun.
- Suspect No. 2: white male, 40′s, 5’8″, thin build, wearing a gray shirt and pants and armed with a handgun.
- Suspect No. 3: white male, 40′s, 5’8″, thin build, wearing a gray hoodie.
Narcotics detectives are determining whether the dispensary is legally permitted.
