An Emirates flight from Dubai to Seattle was diverted to Iran Friday after a 52-year-old American man reportedly suffered a heart attack midflight.

This incident comes amid touchy relations between the U.S. and Iran. The U.S. and other world powers are currently holding talks with Iran over its disputed nuclear program.
"Despite international sanctions against the Iranian people which also endanger their lives, yesterday we helped an American citizen in our country," Abbas Mosayebi, of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, reportedly said.
The man is reportedly still in a Tehran hospital Saturday.
