Seattle Police Interim Chief Harry Bailey announced the retirement of Assistant Chief Clark Kimerer.
The announcement was made on the SPD Blotter on Tuesday afternoon.
Bailey said on Friday, Kimmerer informed him of his decision to retire, effective June 30.
“Until that time he will be working on several long term special projects,” Bailey said.
Upon retirement, Clark will have served the Seattle Police Department for 31 years.
“His career has been marked by distinction and contributions to public safety that will last far beyond his years on the job. I wish him the best in all his future endeavors,” Bailey said.
