BOTHELL, Wash. - Ellen Yamamoto sits in a car hoping for answers.

On Saturday morning, King County Search and Rescue scoured Kirkland's O.O. Denny Park for her brother, Fred Yamamoto.

“It’s pretty tough, he's my only brother," said Ellen.

Dogs worked to pick up a trial that may be more than a month old. Fred's car was found here on Oct.10 and towed on the 14th.

But his out-of-state family says no one knew anything was wrong until his rent went unpaid in November.

The private 56-year-old lived alone, and talked to his family only at Christmas.

“We're in southern California, it's really difficult to be far away and not know what's going on," said Ellen.

The dive team searched the waters of Lake Washington. The family believes Fred may have taken a kayak out on the lake the last day he was seen.

They hope with his picture now out in the public, someone will connect the dots, and give them some answers.

Deputies describe the kayak as inflatable with red and gray coloring.

Although the trail may be five weeks old, the hope these clues lead them to a lost loved one.

If you have any information, call the King County Sheriff's Department.
