The King County medical examiner identified Jay Uusitalo of Redmond, Wash. as the pilot who died when a Maule M-5 crashed into a house in Woodinville.
One other person was injured in the accident, which happened in the 23000 block of NE 144th St. on Saturday afternoon.
A male in his late teens or early 20s was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. The 45-year-old pilot was dead at the scene. The passenger is from Spokane.
The NTSB said the plane hit a van before crashing into the garage.
No one on the ground was hurt.
