Pierce County sheriff's deputies shot a man Thursday suspected in a home invasion, robbery and shooting.

The officer-involved shooting happened around 8 a.m. on the street near a hotel at Highway 410 and Main Street. The suspect had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. There were no reports of injuries to deputies.

The sheriff's department said 28-year-old Justin Michael Linn, aka "Temper," is a suspect in a July 27 home invasion and shooting in Spanaway. Linn has 13 felony convictions for theft, burglary and possession of stolen property.

Detectives said Linn had made several threats to "shoot it out" with police and seriously injure witnesses and civilians.

The suspect was unarmed.
