SEATTLE -- King County court documents say that a Renton, Wash., man used his cellphone to shoot a close-up photo of a vehicle license plate shortly before he was fatally shot on Feb. 17.
The Seattle Times reports the documents say that license plate belongs to Steven M. Marshall's PT Cruiser. On Wednesday, county prosecutors charged Marshall with second-degree murder in the case.
Court papers say 27-year-old Ryan Prince photographed the license plate five minutes after he used his security code to deactivate an alarm system at the home he shared with two roommates. A roommate returned home several hours later and found Prince fatally shot.
The documents say broken Burberry brand blue frame eyeglasses found on the front porch also led detectives to Marshall.
