PACIFIC - Mayor Cy Sun tried to address the unusually large crowd at city hall Monday night. But when he was informed that he was out of order, and the audience started heckling him, he walked out.

The Pacific City Council was suppose to vote on annexation with Auburn but decided to table the vote for a week in order to get more information about the impact on property taxes, services, and utilities.

Many in the audience voiced their concerns over annexation. Some demanded the resignation of Mayor Sun.

Pacific loses its insurance at the end of the year, and council members have repeatedly stated the city could not function without it.

Meanwhile, the Auburn city council approved a non-binding letter of intent for annexation of Pacific to the boundary review boards in King and Pierce counties, as well as the state.
