EDMONDS, Wash. -- Police in Edmonds have arrested two suspects in a burglary that turned into an attack on an 82-year-old woman.
The home invasion took place Friday in the 22800 block of 75th Avenue W. The elderly woman came home around 3 p.m. to find two men burglarizing her house.
The two suspects, described by police as Asian males in their 40s, attacked the victim then fled on foot.
Edmonds police were at the scene within minutes and captured one of the suspects as he tried to hide nearby, with a backpack that contained items stolen from the victim's home.
Police officers with various agencies launched a manhunt with police dogs in the area to search for the second suspect on foot. He was captured shortly after.
The woman was treated by firefighters at her home and did not require hospitalization. She is expected to be okay.
