The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of 29-year-old Cody Brown, who they say has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old and suffers from epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
Brown was reported missing Thursday night after he failed to return home from the South Hill Mall.
Brown’s parents reported that Brown called a friend that night and told them he was on a bus heading to the SeaTac Airport and was going to go to the East Coast.
Brown’s parents also reported that he made two ATM withdrawals at the SeaTac Airport at about 10 p.m. on May 29.
The Sheriff's Department says there may have been a possible sighting of Brown at about 7 p.m. on Friday near the Safeway and 7Eleven stores at 216th and Pacific Highway in SeaTac.
He may have been wearing a baseball hat and backpack, and was accompanied by a white female, two black females, and a black male.
Cody Brown is white, 5’11”, 180 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes. He walks with a limp and needs medication for seizures. He did not take his medication with him and his family reports that without it he will have a “major grand mal seizure.”
