A 32-year-old man was rescued after nearly drowning in Lake Washington Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters say the man was on a boat with his family just north of Seattle's Seward Park when he jumped into the water. The man may have hit his head on something and began struggling in the water.
Witnesses who saw the man struggling jumped into the water to save him, while others called 911. The man was under water for 10-20 minutes before a dive team arrived. Within minutes they located the man in 10 feet of water about 30 feet off shore and pulled him from the lake.
Medics found the man was still alive and performed CPR on him. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center. He was listed in critical condition Thursday night.
