Man assaulted in Mason County home invasion robbery

NEAR LILLIWAUP Wash. – One man was injured in a violent home invasion robbery in Mason County Thursday morning.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Colony Surf Drive in Lilliwaup.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office said two males and a female entered the home and beat up one of the two residents. The male victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The robbers were there for about a half-hour. They stole guns and a vehicle.

No description of the suspects was immediately released.

The burglars stole the victim's guns and beat him up? How did they get in without getting shot? There are not enough details in this story to make any sense out of it.

Wonder if the guy that got beat up saw the story about the guy in Everett that is "under investigation" for killing the guy that broke into his house, and hesitated to use deadly force himself. It's interesting that the other story mentions that police think it was related to a spree of home invasions. Guess what? That spree just ended, or is at least hampered, thanks to the homeowner killing the robber, and other people are saved from the same fate as the guy in this story.
