Two drivers were hurt Wednesday morning after a logging truck overturned on Interstate 405 in Kirkland.

It happened in the northbound lanes at NE 160th Street at about 10 a.m. Three lanes and a ramp were blocked.

The Washington State Patrol says the accident happened when the logging truck was taking the ramp onto I-405. The load shifted, causing the truck to roll over onto the driver’s side and into the guardrail. It pushed the guardrail into the right lane and logs into two other lanes.

Troopers were investigating whether the truck’s load was properly secured.

The logging truck driver and the driver of another vehicle that was struck by a log were injured, but not seriously.

Also on the eastside, a gravel truck rolled onto its side on State Route 522 just east of State Route 9. Troopers say the truck went off the roadway for some reason and the driver overcorrected.

The truck dumped half a load of gravel onto the highway.
