The Maple Valley Highway (SR 169) was closed in both directions for much of the day Sunday due to a minor landslide that caused a tree to fall across the highway.
The road was closed from the entrance to Henry Moses Aquatic Center and detour signs were placed to redirect traffic.
The road was closed to allow for removal of the downed tree and another tree that was still standing but may have been compromised by the slide.
The road was expected to be closed until 7 p.m. but was back open just after 4 p.m.
National Weather Service records show that more than a half inch of rain fell in the area in a 48-hour period.
