KENT, Wash. – Nearly 70 employers from around Seattle and King County are holding a job fair Tuesday. From Boeing to banks and hospitals, as well as the military, city governments and police departments, companies are seeking employees at the “City Career Fair” inside Kent’s ShoWare Center.
King County leaders have proclaimed that July 9th is "Diversity Employment Day."
Employers are looking for candidates with all types of backgrounds from women, minorities, veterans to seniors. Organizers encourage anyone looking for a job to come.
People should be dressed in business attire and have copies of their resume.
“Have a 30-second presentation that includes what you’ve been doing for the past couple of months and what you can bring to the company and research which companies you’re interested,” said Neal Morrison with City Career Fair.
The ShoWare Center is located on 625 West James Street in Kent. The career fair runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information, check out
