SEATTLE - Seattle attorney Anne Bremner has been charged with driving under the influence.

Bremner, a well-known defense attorney who is often seen on TV offering legal analysis, was arrested on June 4.

The King County Sheriff's Office said a deputy saw her driving down the road with a flat tire and pulled her over. He determined that she had been drinking.

Bremner claims her symptoms were not caused by alcohol, but by a concussion from a hit-and-run accident.

Arraignment is set for Sept. 1.

She should get at least twice the penalty just for being a lawyer and not admitting her mistake. Typical, how pathetic. She thinks because she is attractive she could talk her way out of this one. Lame!

The only one buying her story is her. Time to pay up like everyone else, lady.

I wouldn't rule out zanax or oxycontin in addition to booze from reports of her behavior. The undercarriage damage and flat tires were caused by driving over an elevated structure like curbs at high speed. Thankfully she did not take people's lives that night. Special esteem to the Sheriff's office, the officer who has more integrity than Bremner, and the prosecutor who no doubt have suffered a deluge of improper influence from Bremner's enablers to bury the case. The alleged unethical behavior of Judge Heavey in the Knox case is likely nothing compared to the interference going on behind the scenes here. She likely will get off with a negligent driving deferred because of her connections. An influential King County Council woman skated on similar facts a couple years ago, calling in many political chits. The BAR needs to investigate any obstruction and lying to investigators in this case. It's one thing to put on a defense based on facts. It's another to wrongfully fabricate.

Admit your mistake. Pay the price. There is no excuse for drinking and driving.

I bet the judges are lining up to hear this case so they can get a good laugh when she starts telling them her great story.

Unfortunately, even educated people just do not get it – one should never drink and drive. At a dinner party, one could have two glasses of wine with the meal and believe they are perfectly capable of driving a vehicle. However, that might not be the case. It is not my imagination, but proven fact, that the consumption of just one ounce of alcohol is enough to cause impairment of one’s reaction time. The state police of every state have the studies and statistical analyses to prove that. How many people do you know who go out for dinner at a restaurant – have a couple of drinks before dinner, some wine during the meal, and a couple of after dinner drinks, then drive home? These people are driving while impaired; and all of them are DUI candidates. Often, people have a little trouble with alcohol consumption, and refuse to believe or acknowledge that they might have a problem. For them, denial is a river in Egypt.

Amazing how concussions can mimick drunkeness. They even make your breath smell like Chardonnay! I'm sure she's innocent.
