SEATTLE - The mother of another slain Seattle police officer knows firsthand what Officer Tim Brenton's family is going through.

Fifteen years ago Antonio Terry was shot and killed in the line of duty. What happened this past weekend brought it all back for Terry's family. Officer Terry was just 36 years old when he died. He too, left behind a wife and young children.

"It has gotten easier but it'll never go away. I think about my son every single day. Behind every thought in my head he's there," says Tommie Terry.

Terry says her heart stopped when she heard about Saturday night's shotoing. It brought it all back for her. She hasn't reached out to Officer Brenton's family just yet, she says it's still too soon. "It's so hectic in teh very beginning, so hectic. I want to give them time for things to die down."

Terry and her family are still grateful for the outpouring of support. It helped get her though, and she hopes it helps Officer Brenton's family and friends too.

"It made us know that the people really cared about Antonio. We were just in awe of all the things that happened after he died, like the billboards, the flowers, the memorial. All the things people wanted to do for us."

Antonio Terry left behind a wife and three children. His daughter is now married. His oldest son is a freshman at the University of Washington. And his youngest child is now in high school.
