Drop off your used cooking oil or grease

SEATTLE – If you plan to have a deep-fried turkey this year, King County officials want to remind you to recycle used cooking oil to help keep grease out of our sewer system.

You can drop off your cooking oil or grease at the following locations:

-Mercer Island Presbyterian Church, 3605 84th Avenue SE, Mercer Island

-General Biodiesel, 4034 West Marginal Way SW, Seattle.

Or even better, strain your left over grease and reuse it. Why throw out that much grease. Cooking oil is expensive. Nothing wrong with reusing the same oil over and over again. Strain it through cheesecloth and your good to go. There is actually a restaurant in Tennessee I believe, that has been using the same oil since 1912.
