One man is dead and another is in critical condition after an apparent running gun battle in Boulevard Park, south of Seattle, early Wednesday morning.
King County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Cindi West said it happened in the 1000 block of S. 102nd Street just before 1:30 a.m.
A woman called 911 after hearing multiple gunshots being fired. At least one bullet hit her home.
Deputies arrived to find a car in the front yard with the engine still running. The driver and passenger, both men, had both been shot. The passenger died at the scene and the driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
At least one other home and another car were hit by gunfire, according to detectives.
A car was seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting. There is no description of the vehicle.
It's believed one of the victims knew someone who lived in the house where the 911 call came from.
