Seattle Public Utilities needs to look for a new place to ship its garbage.

The company that proposed building a compost processing facility in Kittitas County is now considering another site on the east side of the county.

PacifiClean Environmental wanted to build its new facility in Elk Heights, just east of Cle Elum, but the idea didn't sit well with many Kittitas County residents.

Earlier this week, many voiced their concerns, saying the mounds of trash would ruin the view and create a major fire danger.

PacificClean has decided not to make the compost site near this neighborhood, instead they are considering a piece of desert on the east side of the county.

The project will be discussed at Monday's Seattle City Council Meeting.
