EVERETT, Wash. --  A child is dead after a collision in Everett on Evergreen Way.

Around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to Evergreen Way near Bruin Boulevard.  Witnesses told officers that the driver of a black BMW had been speeding and driving erratically southbound when it clipped another southbound vehicle.  The BMW spun into oncoming traffic where it collided with a northbound minivan, according to Officer Aaron Snell.

A child in the BMW died at the scene.  The drivers of the minivan and BMW where transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of Evergreen Way were closed for more than two hours Tuesday night for the investigation.

Everett police could release more information about the investigation and the victim tomorrow.
