BOTHELL, Wash. --Police have arrested a 30-year-old Bothell man for a string of bank robberies coined "Tour De Banks" because the robber fled the scene on a bicycle.
Detectives said they surveyed the suspect's home early Friday, then arrested him as he drove up in the 2110 block of 46th Avenue SE in Snohomish County.
"A serial bank robbery is a giant threat to public safety and it is great to see all of our agencies working together to put him away," said King County Sheriff Steve Strachan.
Attorney Jim Johanson said he is representing the man who was arrested. Johanson was not ready to comment on the allegations against his client, but he did confirm that his client owns an adult care home. The residents were removed from the house on 21100 block of 46 Ave SE in Snohomish County. The state shut it down for now because of the allegations, according to Johnason.
Todd and Lisa Rostalski live in the same neighborhood where the arrest happened. They said a man and a woman live in the house that was raided.
"You never see the blinds open, and have no idea who lives there. It's scary," said Lisa.
The suspect is expected to be in court Saturday.
