PORT LUDLOW, Wash. - Animal control officers, with the help of a tranquilizer gun, removed a 35-pound bobcat from a Port Ludlow home last Saturday afternoon.

The homeowner told officers he had left his front door open and the bobcat walked into the house.

The homeowner saw the bobcat pawing at the door, then watched it jump over a couch, climb over a big screen TV and jump up to the loft.

"It did hunker down. It was calm, it didn't have any place to go and it felt safe upstairs," said Office Win Miller.

A state trooper, two Jefferson County Animal Control officers, two Jefferson County deputies, and two state Fish & Wildlife officers came to the home to help with the unusual call.

"I've never had anything like it," said Jefferson County Animal Control Officer Alex Mintz.

Fish and Wildlife says the bobcat was not harmed and was released back into the wild about six miles from the home. It scared away one of the homeowner's pet cats, but "Boo Boo" made it home Tuesday without a scratch.

Too bad that these bobcats can't be trained to kill dogs that constantly bark in Tacoma. That would be great. 25,000 dead dogs piled up in front of city hall would send a very strong statement, since telephone calls and complaints don't get any response whatsoever. The mayor of Tacoma needs to be voted out of office and the police chief needs to be fired.

This is just your average feline of that species. Higher echelon are referred to as 'Robertcats'.

This is an amazing story... Bobcats are awesome! They are beautiful but they will RIP a regular house cats head off and a dog too if he's too stupid to understand who they really are. These cats are fierce KILLERS.

I want a photo of Boo-Boo please. He was the real victim in all this. Does Jean Enerson know you are only publishing pictures of the alleged home invaders, and not the victims? All the more disgusting because the bobcat looked like he was underage and boo-boo didn't look like he was?

plutonomics: Very illegal!! Poor baby looks more scared than dangerous, they are beautiful animals so I am very glad to hear it wasn't hurt and was released back into its natural habitat.
