Hit-and-run accident
BELLEVUE, Wash. - A maintenance worker who was cleaning up leaves is recovering after a hit-and-run accident Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at about 2:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of 112th Avenue NE near the Hidden Valley Sports Park.
Bellevue Police say the 47-year-old worker was cleaning up leaves in the street near his vehicle when he was struck, sending him flying some 25 feet.
The worker was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but he has since been upgraded to serious condition.
Police don't have a suspect. They believe the car is a newer model blue or gray compact with significant passenger side and windshield damage.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area to call police.

Where are the minds, hearts and souls of people who can drive away from such a horrific scene, conscientiously knowing someone is laying in the street critically injured by their actions. Just so happens the "worker" referred to in this news article is my brother Justin. Please send out your prayers and well wishes to him. He is going to have a long recovery ahead of him. I LOVE you little bro! Your sis in Orange County, who will be there soon to hug you.
