Seattle police are investigating a shooting on Beacon Hill in the 2400 block of South Columbian Way.

The victim, believed to be a 38-year-old man, was in front of his house when he was confronted by a male suspect.

Police say the suspect shot the victim several times and then ran off eastbound.

The suspects remain at large.

The victim was transported to a Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police closed South Columbian Way for the investigation.

A small black car was seen driving from the area at the time of the shooting but it's not known if that vehicle was involved in any way.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or Seattle Police.  Anonymous tips are welcome.
