VANCOUVER, Wash. - A Vancouver, Wash. woman is speaking out after she was brutally attacked at an ATM Sunday night and the attack was captured on camera.

"All of a sudden I felt something hit my head," said Sherrie Head. "I thought part of the building fell on me."

Sherrie Head was at a Bank of America ATM when a robber jumped her from behind.

"This guy was just hitting me. He hit me a total of four times," she said.

The weapon was some sort of blunt object that looked like a pipe. Head had to get 37 staples in her head at the hospital.

Without saying a word, he beat her up and stole her wallet. All that was in it was 15 cents. Her ATM card was still in the machine.

"15 lousy cents and he does this to me," Head said.

The attack happened at 6 o'clock in the evening. Police say customers often don't realize how vulnerable they can be at an ATM. Police advise customers to go to one that is well-lit, to always check their surroundings, and if possible, to not go alone.

"Take someone with them to be in the car or be with them to kind of keep lookout, use the drive-through as much as you can during banking hours so you have the safety of your car to protect you," says Kim Kapp, a spokesperson for Vancouver Police.

For Sherrie Head, the emotions swing from fear to anger.

"Just leave me in the room with him for 15 minutes with a 13-pound bar and I'll let him know how it feels for someone to come back and bang him on the head," she said.

Hmmm I wonder if this woman wants to hug her attackers like the bus Driver does. And look, it was a white man. The way he beat her, it Looks like he didn’t care, if he killed her or not. I hope when he is Caught, the so called legal system can see that. Give this potential Killer life. Throw away the key. Be done with the low life.

That was the response from the police, don’t be a victim. That is the reason why we need to defend our rights to carry lethal and non lethal weapons.
