A United Airlines Boeing 787 made an emergency landing in New Orleans Tuesday because of a mechanical issue.
The Wall Street Journal reports Flight 1146 from Houston to Newark, New Jersey landed safely with 174 passengers and 10 crew members on board.
While approaching the airport, the crew asked the tower to look at an area just behind the wing known as the aft electrical equipment bay. This is where many of the plane’s power systems are located.
WSJ reports the plane went into service 13 days ago.
