Six years ago, a murder in Perugia, Italy sent shock waves around the globe and placed Seattle under a spotlight. The victim: Meredith Kercher, an exchange student from England who was brutally attacked in her home. Among those accused in her death: Seattle native and University of Washington student Amanda Knox and her Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito. Convicted, then acquitted of the murder, Amanda returned to Seattle two years ago this month. Now, as a third trial is under way in Italy, Amanda opens up to KING 5's Linda Byron in her first local interview.
Linda joined Margaret to talk more about the exclusive, two-hour interview and shared insights from the conversation, which have been turned into a three-part series: Amanda Knox: Her Life Now, airing on KING 5 News at 10 and 11.
