Last school year, New Day was proud to partner with Sterling Bank for our very first New Day Hero Award. We wanted to recognize young people in the Northwest who are doing great things for others and embody the spirit of Rachel’s Challenge, a kindness project based on the life of a wonderful teenager who lost her life in the Columbine tragedy. We’re so thrilled to do this again this year and to recognize another round of outstanding role models. Bob Weisel, the Market President of Sterling Bank, helps us kick things off!
Nominations are now open for this year's first New Day Hero. If you know someone between the ages of 13 and 25 who's made a positive impact in his or her community, send us an email of 250 words or less, plus a picture of the nominee, to newdayhero@king5.com and tell us about them! The winner will receive a $250 cash award.
Winners will be notified on or around January 4 and must be available to accept the award live on New Day on January 17 if selected.
