Everywhere you look, businesses are getting into “12th Man” mode – joining the Seahawks on an exciting run for the Super Bowl.  Here at New Day, we receive many segment ideas that we unfortunately don’t have room to include on the show. So… we’ve compiled a list of treats, gifts that give back and other fun stuff aimed at helping keep “Blue Fever” burning hot and strong!

GIFTS AND MORE…

glassybaby: The Seattle-based maker of gorgeous candle holders has two ways to bask in the glow of 12th Man pride. Pick up a limited edition ‘seahawk pride’ or ‘spirit of 12’ glassybaby at their Madrona, U Village and Bellevue locations (not available online). 10% from each sale will be donated to the Seahawks Women’s Association, but you go to glassybaby’s Facebook page to help choose which charitable event the money will benefit: 1. Prime Time: A Spirited Celebrity Waiter Event, 2. Football 101/102, or 3. Thanksgiving with the ‘Hawks.

Hourglass Footwear: This unique company produces gorgeous, hand-painted shoes in all styles. To celebrate the Seahawks, they’ve come with a special “12th Woman” design in stilettos and flats.

Seattle Aquarium: The Aquarium’s newest celebrity is “Marshawn Pinch,” a tiny crab with a big personality. Marshawn has his own 24-hour camera, Facebook page and Twitter handle (@Marshawn_Pinch). Just call him the #12thCrustacean

Seattle Great Wheel:  Every day is “Blue Friday” at the Wheel. From dusk to dawn, the waterfront landmark is ablaze with a Seahawks-themed light show, complete with a spinning football. (Warning: don’t stare while driving; the light show IS hypnotic)

SWEET TREATS:

Top Pot Doughnuts: a favorite with everyone from Seahawk Golden Tate (who made that infamous late-night run for his favorite maple bar) to President Obama (who showed up with a huge security detail to partake during a visit to Seattle), Top Pot proudly celebrates the ‘Hawks and the 12th Man, Woman and Child, with several specially-themed doughnuts. BONUS: Seahawks fans who visit any Top Pot location before NOON TODAY (Friday, January 17), will receive a FREE coffee or hot chocolate.

Trophy Cupcakes: Trophy is celebrating the Seahawks with a special “Beast Mode Seahawks Dozen” – tasty cupcakes with different toppings, including a scattering of Skittles for our favorite “Beast”. If you can’t get to Trophy, they’ll come to you. Check their website to see how you can have a dozen delivered in time for your Seahawks party.

Pinkabella Cupcakes: Pinkabella is also offering Seahawks-themed cupcakes, as well as a 12th Man “cake.” Lawyer Milloy, UW Husky football legend & NFL All-Pro who retired as a Seahawk, tried his hand at decorating special Seahawks cupcakes, a feat captured by KING 5’s Evening Magazine. Click here to watch.

Allrecipes.com: The Seattle-based website has created a special drink to toast the Seahawks and the 12th Man this weekend (or anytime) by making your own batch of Beast Mode Vodka (see photo below for recipe or click here to see how to make it). Cheers!
