October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we've been doing a lot at KING 5 to show our support. We've also been learning about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to keep fit and well. Brenda Frost works at LifeWise Health Plan of Washington. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she turned her battle into a mission to not just beat cancer, but to become a triathlete!

Brenda joined Margaret to share how her diagnosis forced her off the couch and into action. She's walked a number of half marathons and realized her dream of competing in a triathlon. She's also been named a LifeWise Ambassador, a group of 27 LifeWise employees who inspire others through their fit and healthy lifestyles. LifeWise Ambassadors contribute fitness, food and wellness stories to the website ActivelyNorthwest.com, as well as take part in other projects.
