In 2003, 264 northwest drummers set a Guinness world record for playing together simultaneously at an event known as "Woodstick". This year has only gotten louder, and the group is hoping to reclaim their original world record… or maybe even set a new one! Donn Bennett, owner of Donn Bennett Drum Studio came to give us a little taste of "Woodstick Big Beat 2011. We also had author and photographer of “Sticks ‘n’ Skins” Jules Follett.
The 9th annual "Woodstick Big Beat" drum event takes place Sunday, November 6th, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Juanita High School in the field house. Free drum clinics and live performances start at 10 a.m.
