1) The 14th annualSeattle Art Car Blowout hits the Fremont Fair/Solstice Parade this weekend. 55 art-encrusted cars will be parked at the Upper Burke Parking Lot on 35th NW, between Evanston & Phinney, Saturday and Sunday, June 16th & 17th. FREE!
2) Deborah Faye Lawrence
is a terrific local artist and collagist—she is known as “The Queen of Collage”—and is offering 2 sessions of summer collage workshops. First session begins Sunday, June 24th
3) “At Capacity”,
an original contemporary performance created by Rhonda Soikowski and an ensemble cast, runs thru Friday, June 15th
@ Melrose Market Studios on Capitol Hill.
4) Friday, June 15th
marks the opening of a fun and FREE outdoor event called “Arts on the Waterfront”.
This 3-weekend long artistic mash-up of music, visual arts and theatre runs thru July 1st
5) June 20th marks Joe and Nancy's 25th wedding anniversary. To help celebrate our 25 years Stacey & Phil, owners of Simply Desserts in Fremont, made a gorgeous chocolate/white chocolate sheet cake to share with the New Day audience!
