A Seattle-area band turned a catchy song into a fun music video now getting airplay on MTV. The Crying Spell's video for the song "Elemental," features band members' moms sporting spandex and leather, and showing off their rebellious sides. The video won a contest on MTVU and is now in rotation on MTV.

The band performed the song "Elemental," then lead singer Len Hotrum joined Margaret to talk about the inspiration for the video and about their new album "Spectrums of Light," and the upcoming CD release party this weekend. Guitarist Eric Snyder's mother Mary also joined the segment, to share her experience taking part in the video.

The Crying Spell's CD-release party is Saturday, February 22 and The Crocodile Cafe (2200 Second Avenue, Seattle  Phone: 206-441-4618).
