The Dance Theatre of Harlem is one of the most acclaimed performing ensembles in the country. Founded in 1969, Dance Theatre of Harlem has grown into an outstanding dance institution that has cultivated young talent from around the world, and it’s a real delight that they’ve returned to Seattle this weekend after 8 years. Dancer Ashley Murphy performs a piece from Gloria, choreographed by Robert Garland.!

In the wake of disaster caused by Hurricane Sandy, The Seattle Theatre Group will donate $5 from each ticket purchased to the November Seattle performances by New York's beloved Dance Theatre of Harlem, starting today. The 43 year -old company, co-founded by Arthur Mitchell, and Cornish alum Karel Schook, will perform in Seattle at the Moore Theatre on November 16 & 17 only.
