A recent study found that for whatever reasons, 50% of Women between the ages of 40-85 do not get their yearly mammogram, even when they do have insurance to cover it.
But a new program called the “Pink Tie Guys” features 9 leaders in our community who, for very personal reasons, want to encourage and empower their employees and other women to take charge of their health and make breast cancer screening a priority, because as we know, early detection can lead to successful treatment.
We were super excited to have some of the 2011 Pink Tie Guys who have been personally affected by breast cancer.
We welcomed Jerry Lee, Chairman of Mulvanny G2 Architecture, Chris Rivera, President of the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association and the University of Washington’s Men’s Basketball coach, Lorenzo Romar!
Please take charge of your health and get screened—it can make all the difference.
