For more than a century, there's been an annual fair to celebrate Snohomish county. The Evergreen State Fai moved to the fairgrounds in Monroe in 1949- and has continued to grow since then.

This year's theme is "Get Your Squeal On!" - which brings to mind animals and racing at the Evergreen Speedway. But there's so much more to enjoy!

Traci Hobbs from the Evergreen Speedway and Marilyn Segle from the WSU 4-H program joined Margaret to talk about the Fair and especially the young people from the Snohomish County 4-H program who show their animals at the Fair every year. The Snohomish County 4-H program is one of the largest in the US. Several Snohomish 4-H members brought their animals to the show.

The Evergreen State Fair opened today-- and runs through Labor Day.

The Snohomish County 4-H will hold a special "My 4-H" event on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Beef Pavilion at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. The event runs from 7:00 - 8:30pm and registration is requested. Please call this number to register: 425-357-6044. Click here for more information about the program.
