According to the CDC, there are more than 12 million cancer survivors living in the United States. Gilda's Club is an organization that offers social, emotional and educational support for those living with cancer, as well as their family and friends. Gilda's Club Seattle has a clubhouse on Capitol Hill that is open six days a week, offering support groups, educational lectures, workshops, classes and social events. The club also takes its programs out into the community with Gilda's on the Go, stopping at hospitals and cancer centers around the Puget Sound. This year Gilda's Club celebrates its 12th year of operation and continues to offer its programs of support to participants for free in any setting.

Executive Director of Gilda's Club Seattle, Anna Gottlieb, joined host Margaret Larson on the show today to tell us more about the organizations work and gave us a sneak preview of the Surviving With Style fashion show.

The Surviving With Style Fashion Show and Luncheon is on May 20th, from 11:30 - 1:30 at the Westin Hotel in Seattle. Click HERE to register.
