All eras of time have had distinct fashion. Each year builds on the last (although there are some decades no one wants to go back to!). Instead of finding out what not to wear, it's important to realize who or what has contributed to one's fashion choices.
Looking through some of histories most notable style icons, and realizing how much they have influenced contemporary dress, will help everyone define their own style.
