More than likely, nearly everyone knows someone who suffers from a mental lillness, whether mild or more severe. Our "Stigma to Hope" campaign has been working to help take the stress and shame out of seeking help.

Today, we spotlighted Fairfax Hospital in Kirkland, whose sole purpose is to treat people who are struggling to overcome their illnesses and other challenges, like alcohol or drug addictions. Dr. William Adams and Clinical Therapist Deborah Freeman joined Margaret to talk about the work they do at Fairfax, which is a free-standing psychiatric hospital that offers a variety of treatment options.

Fairfax Hospital offers confidential assessments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at these numbers: 425-821-2000 or 800-435-7221.  You can learn more about Fairfax Hospital by clicking here.

Dr. Adams also talked about the Washington Information Netowrk as a resource. You can get health and human service information by calling 211 or by clicking here.
