NASA's shuttle program may be ending, but another kind of "space race" is heating up. The push to build a space elevator has been going on for decades. It's the focus of a conference taking place August 12-14 at the Microsft Conference Center in Redmond.

David Horn and Maurice Franklin joined Margaret to talk more about the conference, the space elevator and give a demonstration of the tether strength machine.
