Last night, Steve Zakuani scored a laser goal in the team’s 3-1 victory over CD Marathon from Honduras. Now, as the Sounders prepare to close out the season and look ahead to the playoffs, Steve is also preparing for a unique event to build leadership skills for young people in need, with lessons he says changed his own life. Next week, Steve’s Kingdom Hope Foundation is sponsoring a Leadership Summit, which includes special training from Steve himself.

Steve joined Margaret to talk about the upcoming Leadership Summit and share a track off his new rap CD, proceeds of which will benefit local Boys and Girls Clubs. They were also joined by Garrick Pang, Kingdom Hope's Executive Director, who spoke about what makes Steve's foundation so unique.

Kingdom Hope’s Rising Leaders Summit takes place Monday, October 29th at Seattle Art Museum. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and includes personal leadership training from Steve.

A listening party for Steve's new CD takes place Thursday, November 1 at the Musiquarium at the Triple Door in Seattle. The event gets underway at 8:00 pm. Admission is free, but only those 21 and older will be admitted.
