Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is known as a fierce competitor on the field, making key plays and helping give the 12th Man something to cheer about all season long. Now, in the off season, Richard is asking for the 12th Man's help. He just launched his non-profit: BLANKET COVERAGE: THE RICHARD SHERMAN FAMILY FOUNDATION. The group's main mission is to help give at risk students the help, resources and supplies they need to focus on schoolwork and after school activities.
Richard joined guest host Meeghan Black to share the inspiration behind the focus of the foundation, and chatted about the celebrity all-star softball game he hosted over the weekend at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, featuring big name players, including a slew of Seahawks teammates, 'Hawks Head Coach Pete Carroll, NFL standouts Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) and Terrell Owens; UW legend and Super Bowl champion Lawyer Milloy; Sonics legend Shawn "Reign Man" Kemp, local radio personalities Jackie & Bender; members of the Seattle Mist, a few lucky fans and many more!
