For anyone who lives in the Pacific Northwest, Seafair is one of the most beloved events of the summer, bringing friends and families together.
Each year, Seafair royalty reigns over the festival to represent the city of Seattle, and the King and Queen are chosen based on their inspiring and philanthropic contributions to our community. This year the king and queen of Seafair are former King County Sheriff, Queen Sue Rahr, and Seattle SuperSonics legend, King Donald "Slick" Watts.
Miss Seafair, Veronica Quintero, also joined us on New Day, and coronated Margaret as Seafair's "Empress of the Airwaves."
There are several Seafair events happening this Saturday, including the Torchlight Parade that goes through downtown Seattle. The parade begins at 7:30 pm, but if you want to get your hands on some reserved bleacher seating, click here.
